Brinova is one of Skåne's more active real-estate companies. They own and manage rental homes and commercial premises across a number of towns in southern Sweden, and Hässleholm is one of their stronger markets.
It was a good day to shoot. Nice weather, soft light, and properties that simply look good when the surroundings cooperate. Alongside the exteriors I also captured a few operational images that show the company in a broader context.
What added a layer to the assignment was that I recognised some of the properties. Several of them I had photographed earlier during construction, when they were being built by K-Fastigheter. Coming back and seeing them finished, lived in and in use is one of the more satisfying parts of this job. It creates a sense of continuity that's hard to describe but easy to see in the pictures.
Property photography is about more than showing a building. It's about capturing location, scale and feeling in a way that communicates value to a tenant or investor. In Hässleholm and northern Skåne I've worked on property imagery for a number of clients — from new construction during the build to completed portfolios in operation. That gives me an understanding of what the images need to do for their purpose, not just how they should look.
