Tyringe is barely six miles from where I live. You can tell it in the mood on a shoot day.
Kurhotellet in Tyringe is a historic hotel in northern Skåne. They wanted images from their lunch service — staff at work, food settings and the interior spaces that frame the experience.
Restaurant photography is about timing. I read the room and understood the rhythm of the service before I started shooting in earnest. The pictures of the staff are my favourites — they're easy to make if you let people do their thing.
The spaces are a pleasure to work in. Old wooden floors, big windows, rooms with their own character. Let the light do the work.
